STAFFORD, Va. – A man wanted for a domestic disturbance in the Northridge Subdivision earlier this week has been captured.
According to a media release from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the initial incident occurred December 11, 2024.
At approximately 5:45 a.m., SCSO deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the area of Forbes Street and Morton Road.
The suspect involved was identified as Aubrey Wayford Collier, III, who had fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
In the days that followed, the SCSO Criminal Investigations Division worked on several leads to locate Collier. On December 12, they were successful.
At approximately 4:12 p.m., the SCSO SWAT Team arrived at the residence where the original incident occurred.
Collier, 43, was found, arrested, and served on his outstanding warrants. These warrants included destruction of property, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
According to online court records, Collier is due to appear in Stafford General District Court on January 9 for charges of driving with a suspended license. The court date for the most recent offenses is January 15.
