
RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia State Police, working with federal and local law enforcement partners, reported significant criminal interdiction activity across the Commonwealth from Dec. 3 through Dec. 9, 2025.
During the period, law enforcement recovered firearms, seized large quantities of narcotics and U.S. currency, and conducted investigations into multiple criminal offenses statewide.
Operation highlights include:
Firearms and Drugs
Thirteen firearms were recovered, with an estimated value of $6,500. Twenty controlled substance pills were seized.
Narcotics
A total of 85.8 pounds of narcotics were seized. Authorities estimate the seizures denied approximately $1.68 million in revenue from illegal drug sales.
Seized substances included: 7 ounces of cocaine, 5 ounces of crack cocaine, 8.9 pounds of marijuana, 75.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 6.8 ounces of fentanyl
Currency
$12,205 in U.S. currency was seized.
Gaming Enforcement
Seven gaming-related tips were received during the reporting period, bringing the total to 1,978 tips to date.
Human Trafficking Investigations
Twenty-two new human trafficking tips were received, for a total of 1,394 to date. A total of 210 cases have been investigated or remain under investigation. Investigators conducted 3,672 individual investigative activities. Seventy-seven victims were identified and offered services.
