FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A Woodbridge man has been arrested in connection with three burglaries at medical offices across Fairfax County.
Carlos Anthony Mitchell, 67, was arrested September 29 and charged with three counts of burglary, two counts each of petit larceny and destruction of property, and stolen property with intent to sell. He was held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
According to a Fairfax County Police Department media release, the burglaries occurred between May and September in the Mason, McLean and Fair Oaks police districts.
In each case, someone forced entry into a closed medical office.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect wearing professional attire, gloves and a medical-style mask.
Officers responded May 19 to a burglary in the 8200 block of Willow Oaks Corporate Drive.
Police said surveillance footage showed the suspect entering the business and stealing cameras, camera equipment and cash.
Detectives located stolen camera equipment that had been pawned and identified Mitchell as a suspect.
Police later linked Mitchell to burglaries Sept. 3 in the 1300 block of Beverly Road in McLean and September 11 in the 13100 block of Route 50 in Fair Oaks.
Footage from both locations showed a similarly dressed suspect wearing a blazer, white dress shirt, gloves, blue bucket hat and medical-style mask, police said.
Detectives are investigating whether Mitchell was involved in additional burglaries in Fairfax County.
