ARLINGTON, Va. — Five people were wounded in a shooting at a house party in the Arlington View neighborhood early September 26.
According to a media statement from Arlington County police, officers responded around 2:54 a.m. to the 1600 block of 10th Street South on Saturday after receiving a report of gunshots.
Police found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds inside a home and began providing aid.
Three victims were taken to a hospital by medics, while two others went to a hospital on their own.
An adult woman suffered serious injuries and was in stable condition. Two other women and two men suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates a man left the home following a dispute during the party, then returned with a firearm and fired multiple rounds, striking five people. He fled on foot.
Officers searched the area with assistance from a police helicopter and K-9 unit but did not locate the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a Black man wearing denim.
