
WAYNESBORO, Va. — An 18-year-old was arrested after allegedly firing at an occupied vehicle Tuesday night while bystanders were nearby, according to the Waynesboro Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at Sunset Park , located at 300 N. Winchester Ave., at approximately 9:30 p.m. September 9, 2026.
Police identified the suspect as Isiah D. Crawford and said the shooting was believed to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute rather than a random act.
Crawford was later located in the 1100 block of South Delphine Avenue and taken into custody.
No injuries were reported.
He was charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting at an occupied vehicle, attempted reckless handling of a firearm resulting in injury, brandishing a firearm, two counts of obstruction of justice and discharging a firearm within the city.
Crawford was ordered held without bond pending a court appearance.
