CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed an Amissville man on Sunday.
According to an emailed media release from VSP Sergeant Brent W. Coffey, the incident occurred April 13, 2025.
At 2:18 a.m., a 2004 Jeep Cherokee was traveling south on Route 229 when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned near Alum Springs Road.
The driver, Jonathan G. Feeny Sr., 43, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the crash. He died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. Speed and alcohol are both considered factors
