GREENE COUNTY, Va. — A 67-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Sunday morning.
According to Virginia State Police (VSP), the crash occurred at 11:13 a.m. Sept. 13, 2026 — about 1.5 miles east of Skyline Drive.
In a written media statement, VSP said a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on Spotswood Trail when the driver lost control and the motorcycle slowed rapidly. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle.
James M. Dooms, 67, of Waynesboro, died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
