LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A Sterling man has been arrested on drug distribution charges following an investigation into suspected fentanyl dealing connected to student overdoses at Park View High School.
According to an August 24, 2026 media statement from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Isaac Melendez-Carranza was charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of selling drugs near certain properties.
The sheriff’s office said its Drug and Gang Unit identified Melendez-Carranza as a suspected dealer connected to overdoses involving Park View High School students in May.
Melendez-Carranza, 31, was taken into custody on August 20 after authorities executed search warrants.
Deputies seized suspected narcotics and U.S. currency during the searches, according to the sheriff’s office.
Melendez-Carranza is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
