RICHMOND, Va. – From January 31 to February 20, 2025, Virginia State Police (VSP), in partnership with supporting federal and local agencies, achieved significant criminal interdictions.
Their ongoing efforts led to the recovery of firearms, the seizure of narcotics, and the investigation of multiple crimes, including human trafficking, internet-based child exploitation, and a homicide case, throughout the Commonwealth.
OPERATION HIGHLIGHTS
Firearms Recovery:
- A total of 11 firearms were recovered, valued at $8,000.
Narcotics Seizures:
- Total seized narcotics amounted to 28.11 pounds, along with 19,200 controlled substance pills.
- Denied revenue from seized narcotics: $1,124,999.
- Breakdown of narcotics recovered:
- Cocaine: 9 pounds
- Marijuana: 8 pounds
- Heroin: 38.18 ounces
- Methamphetamine: 8.15 pounds
- Fentanyl Pills: 19,100
- Percocet Pills: 100
Explosive Devices Seized:
- One explosive device was safely seized and neutralized.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery:
- Four stolen vehicles were successfully recovered.
Gaming Enforcement:
- 6 gaming-related tips received (1,342 total to date).
Human Trafficking Investigations:
- 31 new human trafficking tips received (623 total to date).
- Investigations conducted:
- Cases investigated or currently under investigation: 185
- Individual investigative activities: 2,548
- Victims identified and offered services: 60
Homicide Investigation:
- Virginia State Police initiated an investigation into one homicide case during the operation
