EDINBURG, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon,
According to police, the incident happened August 6, 2025.
At 4:26 p.m. an 82-year-old pedestrian, Leona Marie Honaker of Edinburg, was struck by a 2011 Kia Sorento while crossing Stoney Creek Boulevard at a crosswalk. Honaker died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Lindsay R. Price, 35, of Edinburg, remained at the scene and was not injured.
State police said charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
