WINCHESTER, Va. — A Frederick County Public Schools employee was arrested after allegedly sending nude photographs to a student.
According to February 17, 2025 media release from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), Brian Patrick Sullivan of Winchester was located and arrested in Ross Township, Pa.
On February 13, FCPS officials were alerted to accusations. Sullivan, the Athletic Director at James Wood High School since 2022, had allegedly sent a naked photo of himself to a 17-year-old student.
School officials immediately notified the FCSO School Safety Division. A criminal investigation was initiated. It was discovered that Sullivan had shared at least two self-produced nude photos with the student between November 2024 and January 2025.
The photos appeared to have been taken off-campus. They also appeared to have been shared after normal school hours.
Because Sullivan was reported to be visiting family in Pittsburgh over the weekend, the Ross Township Police Department (just north of Pittsburgh) was contacted. They took him into custody..
He was served with a felony warrant on the charge of violating Virginia Code 18.2-374.3(D). The warrant alleges he used a communications device to transmit sexually explicit photos of himself to a minor.
Sulllivan will be transported back to Virginia.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
