CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. — Two Manassas residents were taken into custody after leading law enforcement on a multi-jurisdictional vehicle pursuit that began in Culpeper County on Oct. 29, 2025.
According to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), deputies received information about a stolen vehicle out of Manassas spotted near Braggs Corner Road.
Deputies located the vehicle behind Martin’s Grocery in the Town of Culpeper and attempted a high-risk traffic stop. The driver fled, initiating a pursuit.
The chase continued onto Route 666 and Stevensburg Road toward Brandy Station, where deputies deployed spike strips.
A CCSO deputy successfully spiked the fleeing vehicle’s tires, but the suspect continued eastbound on Germanna Highway toward Orange and Spotsylvania counties.
An Orange County deputy attempted another spike deployment, but the vehicle swerved around it—narrowly missing the deputy.
As the pursuit neared Fredericksburg, Virginia State Police joined the effort to bring the chase to a safe end.
Despite losing its left-side tires, the suspect vehicle continued traveling at high speeds before losing control at the intersection of Brock Road and Germanna Highway in Spotsylvania County. The vehicle struck the rear of another car stopped at a traffic light.
Deputies identified the driver as Cindy Martinez and the passenger as Daezairon Jones, both of Manassas. They were taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries before being released.
A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected narcotics; additional charges are pending lab results.
Martinez was charged with felony eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, and driving on a suspended license. She is being held without bail.
Jones was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and was found to have outstanding warrants, including one from the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office for larceny.
