
WAYNESBORO, Va. — A 37-year-old Augusta County woman was stabbed during a road rage incident Tuesday night.
According to the Waynesboro Police Department (WPD), officers responded to a report of a traffic-related altercation in the 1200 block of West Broad Street at approximately 10 p.m. on December 10, 2025.
Investigators determined that John Rodgers of Waynesboro, became involved in a dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation.
Allegedly, Rodgers, 59, used a long-bladed weapon to stab a female victim.
The woman was transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Mr. Rodgers was taken into custody and charged with the following offense:
- 18.2-51.2 – Aggravated Malicious Wounding (Felony)
He is currently being held without bond at the Middle River Regional Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
