STAFFORD, Va. — A 28-year-old man is being held without bond after allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her vehicle.
In the early-morning hours of September 30, 2025, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies responded to a disturbance on Knollwood Court.
A victim told deputies she had been assaulted and that the suspect fled the scene in her vehicle.
Investigators determined the suspect, identified as Ibrahim Kamara, had repeatedly asked throughout the night to borrow the victim’s Toyota to travel to Richmond.
When she refused and went to bed, Kamara allegedly kicked in her bedroom door and began searching for the keys.
A struggle ensued, described by the victim as a “tug-of-war” over the keys, during which Kamara reportedly assaulted her and threatened to kill her.
He then forcibly took the keys and fled in the vehicle, authorities said.
At about 6:50 a.m., deputies located Kamara and the stolen vehicle in Stafford.
He was arrested and charged with robbery, assault and battery, destruction of property, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Kamara was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail and held without bond.
