
RICHMOND, Va. — From Sept. 24–30, 2025, the Virginia State Police, working alongside federal and local partners, conducted criminal interdiction operations that resulted in the recovery of dozens of firearms, major drug seizures, and the disruption of criminal activity across the Commonwealth.
According to VSP, the weeklong enforcement effort led to the recovery of 39 firearms valued at approximately $20,000, as well as the seizure of 304.5 pounds of narcotics and $6,070 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs was more than $1.8 million.
Narcotics recovered included:
- Cocaine: 4.4 pounds
- Crack cocaine: 2.3 pounds
- Heroin: 2.4 pounds
- Psilocybin: 3.5 ounces
- Methamphetamine: 3.7 pounds
- Marijuana: 291 pounds
- Fentanyl: 7.1 ounces
- THC vapes: 10.05 pounds
- THC “dab”: 7.61 ounces
Additional enforcement efforts:
- Gaming Enforcement: 12 new gaming-related tips were received, bringing the total to 1,883.
- Human Trafficking Investigations: 19 new tips were received (1,254 total to date). Authorities have investigated or are currently investigating 237 cases, with 3,308 individual investigative actions and 72 victims identified and offered services.
State Police officials said the operation reflects their ongoing commitment to reducing violent crime and strengthening public safety through collaboration with law enforcement partners at all levels.
“The Virginia State Police remain steadfast in their mission to uphold the laws of the Commonwealth and safeguard our communities,” the agency said in a statement.
