
MT. CRAWFORD, Va. — Multiple crews battled a residential fire that started in an outbuilding on Tuesday.
On the afternoon of September 9, 2025, the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a shed fire on Old Bridgewater Road. Callers also warned the flames might spread to a nearby home.

When fire crews arrived, they found the blaze had already extended from the shed into the residence.

Traffic-management was handled by officers with the Bridgewater Police Department.
Crews remained on-scene for several hours, working to bring the fire under control and safely secure a leaking propane tank.
