STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A local woman faces multiple charges after she crashed into parked vehicles and attempted to flee.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the incident occurred August 8, 2025.
At approximately 8:38 p.m. deputies responded to Malvern Lakes Circle for a reported auto accident.
Deputies said a Ford Explorer, driven by 68-year-old Carolyn Ann Davis of Stafford, struck two unoccupied vehicles. Witnesses reported Davis then tried to drive away from the scene.
When a deputy arrived, Davis was still attempting to maneuver her vehicle. She was instructed to stop, and complied. Authorities said Davis pleaded with deputies to let her go.
A witness told investigators he was walking his dog when he saw both crashes. He also reported Davis offered him $5 for damages, despite neither vehicle belonging to him.
During a search of Davis’ SUV, deputies said they located suspected controlled substances. A records check further revealed she had a prior DUI conviction within the past five years.
Davis was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (second offense within five years), two counts of hit and run, and possession of controlled substances.
She is being held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
According to online court records, Davis is due to appear in Stafford General District Court on October 2.
