FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Local law enforcement arrested a man after a high-speed pursuit that spanned two counties.
On August 21, 2025, Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Xavier Davonne Roy, near the 200 block of West Duck Street.
Roy, who was wanted on two felony failure-to-appear warrants, refused to pull over and led deputies on a chase along Forest Hill Drive and Strasburg Road.
According to a WCSO media release, the pursuit reached speeds of more than 120 mph and endangered other motorists as it continued through Warren and Shenandoah counties.
The vehicle was eventually disabled on I-66 after deputies deployed spike strips.
Roy, 30, fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected cocaine, according to investigators.
Roy was transported to RSW Regional Jail and charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, destruction of property, and possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, in addition to being served the outstanding warrants. He is being held without bond.
The case remains under investigation.
