A penny saved is also a penny that can be spent elsewhere. But for many, the ever-increasing cost of living makes saving even pennies almost impossible.

Those receiving SNAP or EBT benefits are eligible for additional online savings perks designed to help ease financial burdens. Even a few dollars can make a substantial difference to those just trying to stay afloat.

Walmart

EBT recipients who want to sign up for Walmart+ can do so with a discount. Walmart+ Assist Offers a 50% discount to users who get government subsidies.

Normally $12.95 per month, the program is available to EBT recipients for just $6.47 per month. Perks include delivery from your neighborhood store, free shipping with no minimum purchase quantity, fuel savings, Paramount+ movie streaming, and more. To easily verify eligibility, have your EBT card handy when applying.

Instacart

For a flat standard fee of $99/year or $9.99/month, Instacart+ members enjoy unlimited free delivery on orders of $35 or more (per retailer).

The fee for standard instacart members is $3.99 plus per order.

Instacart+ members also receive 5% credit back on eligible pickup orders (excludes alcohol and prescriptions).

Amazon

To those who have an EBT card, Amazon Prime Access offers all of the features of Amazon Prime at a substantial discount.

For EBT recipients, Amazon Prime is available for just $6.99 a month instead of the standard $14.99.

While EBT won’t cover media, clothing or similar purchases, members can use their benefits to purchase hundreds of EBT-eligible items, with free Amazon Prime shipping.
