
Warble - Harrisonburg Police Department
HARRISONBURG, Va. – A Harrisonburg man has been arrested for an armed robbery at the Tobacco Hut on South Main Street.
According to a media release by the Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD), the crime occurred Sunday, October 13, 2024. Store employees provided police with CCTV footage and screen shots of the incident. HPD soon took to social media to share the images and ask for the public’s help in identifying the subject.
The individual was described as a white male, approximately 5’8″ tall, medium build, wearing a red and black sweatshirt, black pants and furry Uggs.
Several tips from the community were received via Tip411, an online platform for relaying vital information to the HPD.

Alex Thomas Warble, 26, was identified as the man on the video.
On October 16th, HPD’s Special Weapons and Tactical (SWAT) team executed a search warrant at Warble’s residence on South Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident.
Warble is being charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, armed robbery, and prohibition of wearing of masks in certain places.
According to online court records, he remains in custody and is next due to appear in Harrisonburg/Rockingham General District Court on December 11.
